Without a visual reference, it is difficult to definitively determine if a scar is hypertrophic. Hypertrophic scars are raised, red or pink in color, and may be itchy or painful. They typically stay within the boundaries of the original wound and may improve over time. If you suspect you have a hypertrophic scar, it is best to consult with a healthcare provider for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment options. **

A hypertrophic lake can be saved through a combination of reducing nutrient inputs, restoring natural water flow, and implementing sustainable land use practices in the surrounding watershed. This can be achieved by implementing measures to reduce agricultural runoff, controlling urban stormwater, and restoring wetlands and buffer zones. Additionally, reducing the use of fertilizers and implementing sustainable agricultural practices can help to reduce nutrient inputs into the lake. Restoring natural water flow through the removal of dams or other barriers can also help to improve the lake's water quality and ecosystem health. Overall, a holistic approach that addresses both the sources of nutrient pollution and the lake's natural ecosystem is essential for saving a hypertrophic lake. **

If a piercing is infected, it is important to seek medical attention from a healthcare professional to receive proper treatment, which may include antibiotics. In the case of hypertrophic scarring, it is best to consult with a dermatologist or a piercing professional for guidance on how to manage the scarring. They may recommend using silicone sheets, corticosteroid injections, or other treatments to help reduce the appearance of the hypertrophic scar. It is crucial to avoid removing the jewelry from the infected piercing as it can trap the infection and worsen the situation. **

If you have a blister on your piercing with hypertrophic scarring, it is important to avoid picking or popping the blister as this can lead to infection and worsen the scarring. Keep the area clean by gently washing it with saline solution or mild soap and water. You can also apply a warm compress to help reduce swelling and discomfort. If the blister does not improve or if you notice signs of infection such as increased redness, swelling, or discharge, it is best to seek advice from a healthcare professional or your piercer. **
